Aurum Elite  ·  Confidentiality

Your health is your
most private asset.

We treat it accordingly.

Our Commitment

What we hold,
and why.

We collect health information for one purpose only: to arrange and coordinate your care. Not to analyse behaviour, not to build profiles, and not to share with anyone beyond those directly involved in your treatment.

Your health record is held securely within Aurum's clinical systems — access strictly limited to the staff involved in your care. Nothing leaves those systems without a clinical reason and your knowledge.

Health information is sensitive. We treat it with the same discretion your most trusted clinicians have always applied — because that is precisely the standard we are held to.

What We Never Do

What we will
never do.

Your health information is never shared with any external party without your explicit, written consent. This applies absolutely — regardless of who is asking, or why.

This is not policy language. It is our commitment — and it is absolute.

Protected by New Zealand Law

Protected by
New Zealand law.

All health information held by Aurum is governed by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. These laws establish your rights as a health consumer — including the right to access your information, request corrections, and understand how your data is used.

Aurum operates in full compliance with both. As a registered private telehealth general practice, we are also bound by the ethical and professional standards of the Medical Council of New Zealand and the obligations placed on all registered health practitioners.

For more on your privacy rights under New Zealand law, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Your Doctor  ·  Your Information

Your doctor.
Your information.

The clinician-patient relationship is one of the most protected in New Zealand law. Every Aurum doctor and nurse operates under strict professional obligations of confidentiality — enforced by their registering bodies and by law. These are not internal policies. They are non-negotiable standards.

Your Relationship Manager is bound by the same obligations. Every person who accesses your information at Aurum has signed a binding confidentiality agreement. Access is limited, logged, and strictly restricted to those directly involved in your care.

Your rights as a health consumer are further protected by the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights. If you ever feel those rights have not been upheld, you may contact the Health and Disability Commissioner at hdc.org.nz or on 0800 11 22 33.
