Aurum Elite

The people behind
your care.

Healthcare that matches the life you’ve built. Private, personal, and without compromise — from the day you arrive through every chapter that follows.

Aurum Elite exists for a small group of people: those who have built a life of exceptional quality — and expect their healthcare to reflect it. Not a directory. Not a clinic. Not an app. A private team, dedicated entirely to your family — with a doctor who knows you, a Relationship Manager who holds every detail, and a clinical team that is simply there.

Aurum was built by people who understand this transition from the inside. Ian, who founded Aurum, came to New Zealand on an international recruitment — navigating every step of that first move with his partner. His brother followed, with his family. His mother and step-father, too. Each of them knows what it is to arrive somewhere new and need to rebuild the fabric of daily life — including the question of who looks after your health. Aurum exists because that question deserves a real answer.

Our leadership

The people behind
your care.

Ian Hartley-Dade — Managing Director, Aurum Elite

Managing Director

Ian Hartley-Dade

Operational & Strategic Leadership

Ian founded Aurum on a conviction that relationships, trust, and the quality of experience between client and clinician are not just what makes healthcare good — they are what makes it last. That conviction was shaped across more than twenty years in health and social care, beginning in the United Kingdom, where he spent over a decade in housing, homelessness, and mental health services, and deepened through senior roles in New Zealand’s public health system, including Chief Operating Officer of a Primary Health Organisation.

Mary-Ann Clueard — Clinical Director, Aurum Elite

Clinical Director

Mary-Ann Clueard

Masters of Nursing (NZ)  ·  Registered Nurse

Mary-Ann brings more than twenty years of nursing experience — across primary care, aged care, and hospital services — and has held leadership roles at a national level within New Zealand’s public health system. Her Masters of Nursing and her years at the front of complex care give her a precise, earned understanding of what clinical excellence actually demands, and what it looks like when it is consistently delivered.

Amanda McCorkindale — Lead Doctor, Aurum Elite

Lead Doctor

Amanda McCorkindale

MBChB, DCH, FRNZCGP  ·  Lifestyle Medicine Doctor

Amanda trained at the University of Otago and is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician — a combination that shapes how she approaches each client: with the full picture in view, and health as something to be built over time, not simply maintained.

Aurum’s leadership holds the vision. It is the whole team who brings it to life.

Our philosophy

Healthcare without
compromise.

People who have accomplished what our members have tend to share a particular frustration with healthcare: they are treated like everyone else. A number in a queue. Ten minutes with someone who has never met them. A system that is genuinely excellent for the average — but was never designed for complexity, continuity, or care that follows you.

Aurum is built around a different model entirely. A doctor who reads your history before the conversation begins. A nursing team that checks in because they know your situation — not because a protocol requires it. A Relationship Manager who anticipates what you need, coordinates every piece, and removes the friction from every interaction. One team. Complete picture. Nothing delegated to you.

We do not take on more members than we can serve at this standard. That constraint is deliberate — and it is precisely what makes this level of care possible. For the families we work with, healthcare becomes something they simply never have to think about.

Your Aurum Elite team

Four roles. One team.
Entirely yours.

01

Your Doctor

Your doctor is a named individual — fully registered in New Zealand — who holds your complete health history and is present across your entire time with us. They diagnose, prescribe, refer, and plan long-term care. More importantly, they know you. The kind of doctor relationship most people spend a lifetime hoping to find — yours from the first consultation.

02

Your Nursing Team

Your nurses provide the continuity that transforms individual appointments into genuinely excellent long-term care. They follow up, monitor, educate, and check in — not because a protocol requires it, but because they know your situation and they notice the details that matter. The thread that holds everything together between consultations.

03

Your Health Coach

Your Health Coach brings precision to the gap between clinical guidance and daily life. Working alongside your doctor, they translate health goals into lasting habits — across movement, sleep, nutrition, and long-term vitality. Healthcare that reaches into the everyday, not just the appointment. For members who want their health to perform at the level everything else in their life does.

04

Your Relationship Manager

Your Relationship Manager is perhaps the rarest thing in healthcare: a person whose sole focus is you and your family. They hold every detail — your preferences, your circumstances, your history with the team. They coordinate appointments, manage referrals, follow up on results, and ensure that nothing ever requires your attention unless it genuinely should. For many of our members, they become one of the most trusted people in their lives in New Zealand.

Clinical standards

An uncompromising
standard of practice.

Every clinician who practises at Aurum Elite is registered and accountable under New Zealand law — with the Medical Council of New Zealand or the Nursing Council of New Zealand. These are not credentials we mention to reassure; they are the foundation of a practice that takes clinical excellence seriously. Every prescription, referral, and clinical decision is made by a named, qualified practitioner who is accountable to the highest professional standard in the country.

Telehealth is the primary model at Aurum, and it is not a compromise. For the people we serve — who may be in Auckland, Queenstown, or anywhere between — care that comes to them, on their schedule, with their full record available, is simply superior. Your doctor knows your history before the conversation begins. There is no repeating yourself. No starting over.

Your health information is treated with the discretion you would expect of a trusted legal adviser or private banker. Aurum operates in full compliance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. Records are encrypted, access is tightly controlled, and nothing is shared without your explicit instruction. Completely private. Completely yours.

All doctors and nurses are registered with their respective NZ professional bodies and practise within current standards.

What sets us apart

The principles behind
a different kind of practice.

Human

Every interaction is with a named person who knows your situation. No call centres. No queues. No starting from the beginning. The relationship is the product — and it is with people who are genuinely invested in the outcome.

Tailored

No two families at Aurum are managed the same way. Your care plan, your communication preferences, your priorities — shaped entirely around you and how you live. We consider the whole picture, not just the presenting concern.

Connected

Aurum functions as a single hub across your entire health landscape — your doctor, specialists, pharmacy, public entitlements, and private care. One team. Complete oversight. Nothing missed and nothing left for you to coordinate.

Innovative

We hold ourselves to continuous improvement — in the tools we use, the way we communicate, and the standard we keep. Built for people who expect the best, which means we never stop asking whether we are delivering it.
